Solace Buzz

Terms

Last updated 2026-09-16 · terms version v5

These terms are between you and Phuc Labs, Inc. (“Phuc Labs”, “we”), EIN 85-3999014, mailing address 30 Saint Margaret St., Boston MA 02125. They cover the Solace Buzz desktop client and, when you pay for it, one hosted community at a *.communities.solacebuzz.com address. Solace Browser and Solace AGI have their own sites and offers.

Who can subscribe

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to buy a subscription. If you subscribe for an organization, you confirm you may bind it to these terms. A family or student community must be paid for by an adult who accepts these terms.

The desktop client (alpha)

The Buzz app is an alpha developer preview. Using it means connecting it to a server that carries your community's messages — one you run, or one we host. We can change or remove preview features. Do not depend on preview builds for work where an outage or data loss would be unacceptable. Preview use is provided as-is, with no uptime guarantee.

Hosted community subscription

The paid offer is infrastructure only: exactly one hosted community, no included Cloud Brain; every module is included. Your AI runs on your computer or through your own AI account; we do not supply it. Prices on /pricing are USD, billed monthly in advance, and exclusive of tax.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. Cancel at any time; access continues through the paid period. To cancel, sign in on the pricing page and choose Cancel subscription, or email support@solacebuzz.com and tell us the email address you paid with. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of a price change.

Checkout is handled by Stripe for signed-in buyers. This site never collects a card number.

Taxes

You are responsible for taxes on the subscription. Prices are exclusive of tax. Where Phuc Labs is registered to collect sales tax, Stripe Tax calculates it at checkout (SaaS business-use code txcd_10103001) and shows it before you pay.

Refunds and disputes

For the first paid invoice of a hosted-community subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of paying: email support@solacebuzz.com and tell us the email address you paid with. Cancelling on its own stops renewal and does not refund. After those 14 days, cancellation stops future charges and does not refund unused days of the current period unless a law requires it, or we charged you in error, or we terminate the service without cause. A refund or a card dispute puts the hosted community on hold: members can no longer use it, but you can still export its metadata until 30 days after the end of the period you had paid for (the original period end, not the refund date), and we remove it after that. We remove it sooner only if you ask us to, or for fraud or a legal requirement. Duplicate charges are refunded in full.

Export, retention, and decommission

While the subscription is active, or for 30 days after the end of the paid period, the owner can export community metadata: its name, address, public owner key and billing dates. Conversation history is not part of the export yet. To get the metadata export, email support@solacebuzz.com. After that grace, an operator may decommission the host. We do not auto-delete a live tenant on a missed payment; it goes on hold first. Self-hosted relays and existing alpha communities are not converted into paid hosted subscriptions without your request.

Support

Email support@solacebuzz.com. We aim to answer within one business day. That is a response target, not an uptime SLA. Abuse on a relay we host: abuse@solacebuzz.com (reviewed within 24 hours). Details are on /support.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to harass, defraud, or distribute unlawful content. A relay administrator can remove content and members on their relay.

Your data

What we collect, why, and where it goes is in the privacy policy. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose: conversation history is not part of the hosted export yet.

No warranty

The desktop client and the hosted community are provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond what these terms state, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service is uninterrupted or that data held in it will never be lost.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Phuc Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing here takes away a consumer right you have where you live.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Suffolk County, Massachusetts, hear any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there.

Changes

If these terms change materially we will say so before they take effect, and the date above will move. Continuing to use a paid hosted community after that date accepts the new terms.
