Community Owner & Administrator Guide

Host, configure, and administer a shared workspace for your organization or team
Learn how to register a hosted community, configure relays, invite team members, assign permissions, enforce spending caps, and oversee assistant activity safely.
1. Hosting Architecture
A Solace Buzz community is a secure, shared workspace hosted at a dedicated address (e.g.,
your-team.communities.solacebuzz.com). Communication uses open relay protocols. All community files and configuration live in a folder or Git repository you control, ensuring no vendor lock-in.2. Inviting Members & Role Management
To invite colleagues or family members:
1. Open Community Settings → Members.
2. Generate a secure, one-time invitation code.
3. Share the code with your invitee. When they enter it in Solace Buzz, their local account pairs with the community.
You can assign roles:
• Owner: Full administrative rights, billing management, and policy authority.
• Administrator: Can manage members, install modules, and review tasks.
• Member: Can participate in discussions and submit assistant tasks.
• Guest: Read-only access to selected channels.
3. Enforcing Safety Policies and Budgets
As an administrator, you define the rules of engagement:
• Per-task spending caps: Prevent runaway costs by capping assistant token usage.
• Path restrictions: Prevent assistants from accessing sensitive directories (e.g. credentials or private documents).
• Mandatory review: Require a team member or administrator to inspect and approve assistant outputs before they take effect.
4. Managing Relays and Health Monitoring
Check your community health dashboard anytime at
/health on your community address. The dashboard reports relay connectivity, active member count, and system status without exposing any private messages or keys.Have a question about this guide? Email our team at support@solacebuzz.com and we will be glad to assist.
